IoT Workshop Ethiopia

Horizon IoT workshop in Ethiopia centred on Wialon, the telematics platform behind many of the region’s fleet tracking and monitoring operations. The session brought together fleet operators, system integrators and technology partners for a hands-on look at how Wialon turns raw data from GPS trackers, fuel sensors, dashcams and other connected devices into live, actionable insight. Participants saw how to connect and configure devices, set up units and geofences, build alerts and reports, and monitor fuel consumption, driver behaviour and vehicle performance from a single dashboard. The workshop also looked at integrating Wialon with the hardware ranges available in East Africa, and at the practical challenges of deploying telematics on local roads, networks and fleet conditions.
